⁶ Each evening they ^(A)come back,
    howling like dogs
    and prowling about the city.
⁷ There they are, ^(B)bellowing with their mouths
    with ^(C)swords in their lips—
    for ^(D)“Who,” they think,^[a] “will hear us?”
⁸ But you, O Lord, ^(E)laugh at them;
    you hold all the nations in derision.
